Here’s an overview of the internal workings of the ministry and the roles of various departments
Women Programme Department
- The 2019 Empowerment programme was for selected unemployed women and young school leavers across the 68 LGAs /LCDAs in Oyo State. Equipment distributed to the women and young school leavers are:
- Grinding machines,
- Sewing machines,
- Hair dryer and wash basin,
- Popcorn machines,
- Deep freezers,
- Local gas cookers with burners and cylinders.
Social Welfare Department

Activities:
Laying of Wreath, Launching of Emblem, Service for the Dead Soldiers and Alive and Empowerment of Veteransâ Widows and other Vulnerable Members of Nigeria Legion, Oyo State Command.
Special Guest his Excellency, the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, His Excellency, Deputy Governor of Oyo State, General Officer Commanding(GOC), Garrison Commander, NAF, C.O.P, DSS EXCO Members PS and other invited Guests.
Poverty Alleviation Department
The Pacesetter Tricycles Scheme is designed as an empowerment to alleviate the sufferings of the citizens in the transport sector of the economy. The scheme reduces motorcycle accidents on our roads thus, it is also a means of providing decent employment.
Productivity is lost when people wait endlessly at bus stop for means of transportation while the economy is enhanced by movements of human beings, goods and services hence, the scheme provides effective transportation system for the citizens of the State.
The scheme also controls the unlimited movement of motorcycles in the city which constitute environmental problems of noise and air pollution with the resultant effect of climate change.
